About Me

Creativity is contagious pass it on.
-Albert Einstein

As a very young child I discovered that I was an artist. I’ve been creating and making art almost my whole life. I graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design where I studied fashion design, painting, and illustration. After graduating I worked in the fashion industry in New York and then moved to Minnesota where I had my own design and manufacturing company. Inspired by my children, I began creating paintings of whimsical creatures that told stories. For many years I painted fanciful murals and decorative canvases for interior spaces. For the past twelve summers I’ve taught kid’s art camps and workshops out of my home studio. During the school year I teach after school classes and this past year adult painting classes. Recently this blog was created to promote my classes and show the world the wonderful artwork of my students and the fun they have making it.

Now my own children are grown but my mind still loves to dream and think of magical creatures and mythical places. These days a lot of my time is spent dreaming up fun art projects for children to practice their skills in painting, drawing, and sculpture.

LETS MAKE ART!
